10 Habits for a Healthy 2018 from a Magnolia Chiropractor

  1. Drink a glass of water right now. Seriously, this will never get taken off lists like this!
  2. Surprise an old friend with a phone call today. Not a text. A real call.
  3. Buy flowers on the way home. Either for yourself or a significant other. Plants are healing.
  4. Get stronger. Weights, pushups, yoga, whatever. Join a gym even if it's cliche to do so in January.
  5. Walk outside and take 10 deep breaths in and out whenever you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or if you've been indoors too long.
  6. Book a vacation. It gives you something to look forward to and work for. A day trip or weekend getaway works great for smaller budgets.
  7. Have a dinner party with fun people. Have everyone bring a dish so it's easy on you. Play a game together afterward. My personal favorite game right now? Codenames. It's awesome and doesn't divide families like Settlers of Catan.
